FAQ: What if I am a Learner driver?

To complete the driving assessment you will need to hold your learner’s permit, and have a medical certificate stating that you are fit to complete the assessment. Following the assessment the Doctor will review any recommendations made and re-issue your medical certificate, which you must show to QLD Transport. Once the Department of Transport has re-issued your learner’s permit, you are required to complete the full learner driver program (as any other learner driver would). This may include lessons, physical driving test, log book hours and a hazard perception test.
Re-Assessment with the OT may also be required at time of provisional licence application.
